Food Safety for Retail

This qualification will benefit anyone working in a situation where there is food. The training programme focuses on the information that employees need to know before they start work in a food environment or as part of induction.
Successful completion of the training programme and assessment will enable candidates to understand:

  1. How to keep themselves clean and hygiene
  2. How to keep their work area clean
  3. The role they play in reducing contamination

Course content
Introduction to food safety, personal hygiene, cleaning and contamination. 

Course includes
All tuition, use of training equipment, course manual, handouts, training pack, training video film, course registration with HSE, exam fees, certificates, recall for requalification training, services of 'casualty' and refreshments

Our tutors at Whitechapel College hold current First Aid at Work, NVQ Assessors and FE Teachers Certificate qualifications or the equivalent. They have relevant practical experience in the workplace and have wide teaching experience.

Start date
Courses will be held at our campus in Stratford every Tuesday commencing at 10.00am and finishing at 5.00pm or, by arrangement, at your company or firm's location.
